What is the ONX System?
The ONX System is an on-line exercise application developed to provide a meaningful, intuitive and cost effective web-based platform to develop, conduct and evaluate Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) compliant exercises. Whether the goal is to assess the capabilities of a single entity or to measure the ability of various agencies and organizations from across a city, county, state or the country, the ONX System was designed to meet the needs of professionals responsible for conducting exercises.
The ONX System has an on-line participant registration portal and allows an exercise participant to export and print their certificate of participation upon completing their on-line exercise hotwash.
The ONX System’s Exercise Evaluation Guide (EEG) portal allows evaluators to enter their observations and recommendations directly into the exercise being evaluated. With this capability After Action Reports can be exported directly from the ONX System.
As exercise participants submit their responses to various exercise injects they are captured within the ONX System. Upon the completion of exercises an Inject Response Report can be exported. This report provides exercise evaluators with an opportunity to see how exercise participants responded to each inject.

Embedded Videos
As part to the process of developing exercises that look and feel as realistic as possible, the ONX System allows videos to be embedded throughout any exercise.

Embedded Podcasts
In addition to videos, podcasts can be easily embedded throughout an exercise to provide realistic sound effects such as a NOAA Weather Radar sounding an alert or to provide additional voice over exercise clarification such as short narrative explaining a certain situation.

Post-Exercise Reports
After Action Report
Immediately following the conclusion of all ONX System exercises participants submit their Hotwash and evaluators submit their EEG observations and recommendations directly into the ONX System. Once these observations and recommendations have been submitted an HSEEP compliant After Action Report is exported from the ONX System.
Access an example After Action Report.
Inject Response Report
At the conclusion of all ONX System exercises an Inject Response Report is exported from the ONX System which contains the responses submitted to all of the exercise injects by exercise participants.
