This exercise will serve as an opportunity for the staff and management of skilled nursing, residential care, assisted living and long term care facilities to work together as part of their facility’s Disaster Response Team to assess their capabilities of preparing for and responding to a Phase 6 Influenza Pandemic.

Caduceus Shield Exercise Initiative

The Pandemic Pandemonium – An Assisted Living Facility Tabletop Exercise is part of the national Caduceus Shield Exercise Initiative.

Exercise Scenario

An outbreak of unusually severe respiratory illness is identified in a small village in southern China.

Over the next 45 to 60 days the outbreak becomes a devastating Phase 6 Influenza Pandemic affecting communities throughout the United States.

Exercise Participation Information

Your residential care or skilled nursing facility can participate in this exercise for $600.
 
For information about participating in this exercise please complete an Information Request Form. Upon completing the form you will be contacted and provided with additional information.

Participation Information
Influenza Pandemic Register Now From a conference room or similar location via the ONX System as part of your facility’s Incident Management Team
* Everyone who will be participating in the exercise must register for the following reasons:
  1. Prior to the exercise important Read Ahead materials will be e-mailed to all registered participants. These materials are important to ensure your participation in the exercise is successful.
  2. At the end of the exercise only registered participants will be able to complete and submit their individual exercise evaluation (Hotwash).
  3. Only registered participants will be able to access and print their Certificate of Participation once they have submitted their individual exercise evaluation.
