This exercise will serve as an opportunity for the management and staff that makes up your Hospital Incident Command Team to work through scenario information and a number of injects dealing with both preparedness activities associated with an approaching blizzard as well as the actions that will need to be taken to remain operational for 96 hours following the storm.

Caduceus Shield Exercise Initiative

The Operation Four With All – A Hospital Sustainability Tabletop Exercise is part of the national Caduceus Shield Exercise Initiative.

Exercise Scenario

The local forecast office of the National Weather Service has just issued a Winter Storm Watch for the region. The storm is predicted to move through the area within the next 12 to 36 hours.

As residents throughout the community served by the hospital begin to brace themselves for what is predicted to be a record setting snowfall, the National Weather Service issues a Winter Storm Warning.

Exercise Participation Information

Your hospital can participate in this exercise for $600.
 
For information about participating in this exercise please complete an Information Request Form. Upon completing the form you will be contacted and provided with additional information.
 
Once your hospital is approved it will appear on the list of participating hospitals.

Participation Information
Blizzard Register Now ** From a conference room or similar location via the ONX System as part of your Hospital’s Incident Command Team
* Everyone who will be participating in the exercise must register for the following reasons:
  1. Prior to the exercise important Read Ahead materials will be e-mailed to all registered participants. These materials are important to ensure your participation in the exercise is successful.
  2. At the end of the exercise only registered participants will be able to complete and submit their individual exercise evaluation (Hotwash).
  3. Only registered participants will be able to access and print their Certificate of Participation once they have submitted their individual exercise evaluation.
** Prior to registering you should make sure that your hospital is on the list of approved participating hospitals.
