Campus Stability Tabletop Exercise

Exercise Overview

Exercise Benefits / Facts

The University of Texas at Arlington – Office of Emergency Management has undertaken an initiative to design, conduct and evaluate a series of exercises entitled “Campus Stability – A Continuity of Operations Tabletop Exercise”.

This exercise series will serve as an opportunity for the university’s staff and faculty to assess their Continuity of Operations Plans and procedures.

Participation in this exercise is restricted to staff and faculty of the University of Texas at Arlington.

Exercise Scenario

At 10:14AM most of the University’s faculty and staff receive an e-mail with the following subject line “Major Administrative Changes Expected at UTA Later Today”. The e-mail’s message was very short and stated that the attached document contained additional information.

The e-mail’s sender address indicates that it came from the University’s e-mail system.

Because no one was aware that any administrative changes were in the works faculty and staff open the e-mail and its attachment to find out what is happening.
