The purpose of this exercise is to provide participants with an opportunity to work through the various challenges associated with a campus-wide IT Failure.
The mission of the Campus Down Exercise is to assist colleges and universities in identifying strengths and areas needing improvement regarding responding to and managing the consequences of a system-wide IT Failure..
Campus Shield Exercise Initiative
The Campus Down – A College / University IT Failure Tabletop Exercise is part of the national Campus Shield Exercise Initiative.
Exercise Scenario
Wednesday – 7:37AM
It’s the second day of finals week and students throughout campus are experiencing a heightened level of stress due to their final exams.
Across campus students, faculty and staff are arriving in classrooms and offices ready to start another workday and begin exams. As computer monitors and laptops are turned on everyone notices that their computer monitor is displaying an error message.
