This exercise will serve as an opportunity for the management and staff that make up your Incident Command Team along with your community’s response agencies to work through scenario information and injects dealing with an active shooter incident occurring on your campus.
Campus Shield Exercise Initiative
The Academic Adversity – An Active Shooter Response Tabletop Exercise is part of the national Campus Shield Exercise Initiative.
Exercise Scenario
At 9:13AM, a call comes into Campus Security reporting that a student has seen a “suspicious” man with an “overloaded” backpack walking towards one of the main classroom buildings.
At 9:18AM, multiple calls begin to come into Campus Security about hearing gun shots in one of the classroom buildings.
Your institution must now respond to an active shooter situation.

Exercise Participation Information
Your university or college can participate in this exercise for $600.
